The Irony of Modern Day Husband's

We recently completed 6 years of matrimonial bliss, but on the 6th anniversary my dear husband was stuck in office and well all my friends and family members who knew about it were not worried about the fact that we could not be together due to his work commitments. On the contrary everybody was at their wildest imagination spree (specially all my male friends and relatives who are married). Wondering how did I get to know about this?
As a sweet gesture my younger brother and his wife posted a picture of ours wishing us happy anniversary on Facebook and what followed thereafter was hilarious. Well, what was more surprising was that my brother who posted this picture was at his wildest of imagination that day... I guess girls, these guys really can't find any thing else as interesting and exciting than making false stories of how scared they are from us. Well, when the post came both me and hubby thanked them from our distant locations and then the strings of comments followed. The first one being from my brother to my hubby, "bhai ghar pahaunch warna tu toh gaya"...  Well, when my hubby entered home in the evening the next day, calls started coming in as to whether he was alright. I appreciate all the genuine concerns of all his male friends, they were all worried, "people made wild guesses like I would have not given him food, broken his head or done something really wild to make up for his absence on the d-day". I swear, guys can get so imaginative about girls. Well, how could my husband disappoint his male friends. Waise, hubby dear you cooked up real good stories to make them believe how realistic their imagination was.
Both of us had a good laugh that day. Thanks to all his male friends, I had a good dose of entertainment. All this did not end here. Co-incidentally, after being absent from our anniversary my hubby presented me a lovely ring, the reactions on this one were even more entertaining and fuelled everyone's imagination even more. They kind of almost believed that I must have surely given him a tough time and so their typical resolutions of not forgetting and not celebrating their anniversaries started doing the rounds. This time even the girls gang was participative ;) But in all this I truly understood the irony of modern day husband's. They love us, there is no entertainment in their lives without us, but their male bonding codes and societal codes does not let them accept this. They are rather more happy, making fun about it and laughing out loud. Well, guys thank you.... you all are a complete package of entertainment not only for yourselves but us too. We enjoy having a laugh over these over the top, dramatic reactions of yours. As we have accepted it, its time you all to accept that your life will be really boring without us :)

Artistic, Unique & Pocket Friendly Fashion

Hello people, I am one of those few people who retorts to the internet for every small and big thing I need on this earth.  As they say, “Google it” I belong to the “Google it” genre. Blame it on lack of time, distances, traffic chaos I largely depend on the internet shopping websites for my regular shopping needs.
I am a self-confessed internet shopaholic. I usually pick up my clothes, shoes, bags and any kind of accessories I need from the online lifestyle stores like Jabbong and Myntra. But off late I really had enough of similar styled stuff on these websites. In my quest to find something different I googled again, and I came across this lovely brand “Maati”. For all of you who have very simplistic style of dressing and love to stay in your denims and tees but still spell class and sophistication Maati t-shirts are just perfect for you.

About Maati
Maati is a brand that specializes in making hand-painted t-shirts. If I am not wrong I believe they are the first of its kind to make something as unusual as this. As I was browsing through their product catalogue I instantly fell in love with their t-shirts, they are truly amazing, beautiful painted Buddha, Colorful Camel, A Tribal Dancer and many more such artworks to choose from. The range in both Men’s and Women’s is extensive. Whatever your mood, whether to party or just chill out or have a laid back day at home in style, Maati has a great piece of art work on its t-shirts for your different moods.
The quality of the t-shirts is too good, super soft fabric and very easy to maintain. My first thought was that since its hand-painted I may have to hand wash it. But I was really delighted to see its wash instructions. One can wash these on a gentle cycle in the washing machine as well. Now that’s what you call style with convenience. Also, given the kind of classy pieces they are their pricing is very reasonable.
Maati has really perfected the art of blending Indian art with modern fashion sensibilities. I ordered for the Buddha t-shirt which is truly enigmatic. Not only is it a beautiful piece to instantly jazz up you plain denims, it really makes you feel calm and at peace with your-self from within. Another interesting thing about Maati is that they really value their artisans. Each t-shirt of Maati comes with a story about the artist who has painted it and also carries the story behind the art on your merchandise. I am really impressed by this endeavor by the founders of Maati. You really don’t find people these days that identify their products and brands with the people who work on ground level, but Maati does.

I am looking forward to have more of Maati tee’s in my collection. The complete collection can be found on their website www.maationline.com and if I am lucky enough would surely want to visit their store some day. Till then all of you who love to shop online, and like things that are unique and stylish you know Maationline is one great place to be.
Watch this space for more as I come up with more and more information on Maati, and Maati, way to go.

For all those who believe in buying clothes by walking into the store, the good news is Maati has an exclusive outlet in Delhi. The address is:
